PROSTHODONTICS

FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION:

  • Mouth rehabilitation seeks to convert all unfavorable forces on the teeth, which inevitably induce pathologic conditions, into favorable forces which permit normal function and therefore induce healthy conditions.

Why Full Mouth Reconstruction?

  • When one part breaks down or is misaligned, it can and will affect the overall functionality of the entire mouth.

Who Needs Full Mouth Reconstruction:

  • Teeth that have been lost due to decay or trauma.
  • Teeth that have been injured or fractured.
  • Teeth that have become severely worn as a result of long-term acid erosion (foods, beverages, acid reflux) or tooth grinding.
  • Ongoing complaints of jaw, muscle and headache pain requiring adjustments to the bite (occlusion).

SMILE DESIGNING

What is smile design?

  • Smile design is a cosmetic dental procedure that corrects teeth imperfections and restores your dental health and appearance. It involves a customized treatment and long-lasting results for a straighter, whiter, and natural-looking smile.
  • Our teeth wear down, chip, or discolor over time. However, smile design gives you a smile you’ll love for life.

 Why Smile Designing ?

  • The goal of an esthetic makeover is to develop a peaceful and stable masticatory system, where the teeth, tissues, muscles, skeletal structures and joints all function in harmony.

You’re a candidate for smile design if you want to fix the following:

  • Tooth discoloration
  • Chipped or cracked teeth
  • Misaligned teeth
  • “Gummy” smile
  • Missing or gapped teeth
  • Old restorations from fillings and crowns

VENEERS:

Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance.

What Types of Problems Do Dental Veneers Fix?

Veneers are routinely used to fix:

  • Teeth that are discolored
  • Teeth that are worn down
  • Teeth that are chipped or broken
  • Teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped (for example, have craters or bulges in them)
  • Teeth with gaps between them (to close the space between these teeth)

LAMINATES:

  • Laminates can be referred to as an advanced porcelain veneer as they both share the same function and benefits. However, when placing laminates, the enamel and structure of the tooth do not have to be altered.

LUMINEERS:

Lumineers are a brand of veneers that take less preparation and advanced dental work than traditional veneers. They’re often called “no prep” veneers. Instead of porcelain, they’re made of “ultra thin” laminate.

FULL COVERAGE CROWNS:

A dental crown is a popular temporary tooth restoration treatment. It covers severe decay, bad discoloration, and fractures on natural dental pieces.

The most common are metals, porcelain, resin, and ceramics.

Zirconia crows:

Why zirconia Crowns?

  • Zirconia crowns are highly biocompatible.
  • This customization minimizes the margin for error and ensures an excellent fit for each individual.
  • Zirconia is suitable for patients with metal allergies or who would prefer to have metal-free restorations.
  • The translucent nature of this material can transmit the color of adjacent teeth.
  • Computer-aided design and manufacturing processes provide patients with a precise fit.
  • Zirconia crowns are comfortable for patients as they do not transmit hot and cold like conventional Metal Ceramic Crowns

COMPLETE DENTURE:

What is Complete Denture?

Complete dentures are full-coverage oral prosthetic devices that replace a complete arch of missing teeth.

Why Complete Denture?

  • If you have lost an entire arch of teeth, a complete denture can restore the functions of those teeth. Because modern dentures look much more natural, they can also help to restore your smile and your confidence, while helping to improve your quality of life.

COMPLETE DENTURE – IVOCLAR:

  • This innovative technology allows you to mill customized complete dentures in one operation.
  • The nonporous surface greatly reduces odor-causing plaque and bacteria.
  • Reduced change of breakage with improved strength.
  • Natural looking shades improve esthetics, helping your patients feel more confident.
  • Accurate fit to help prevent denture stomatitis.

BPS DENTURE:

  • BPS is the system designed to work with the body in a biological way, maximizing function, and giving comfort and natural appearance to the patient.

WHY BPS DENTURE?

BPS Dentures reproduce the functions of the natural teeth during mastication & Speaking to a very high extent.

FLEXIBLE PARTIAL DENTURES:

  • Traditional dentures are made from a hard, rigid resin or acylic. Though they are significantly more comfortable, durable, and lightweight than historical versions, these dentures are still subject to breakage and some people find them uncomfortable. Flexible partial dentures are made of a softer, more flexible resin.

INLAYS AND ONLAYS:

An INLAY fills in cavities and hollows in a tooth in the areas between the cusps. An ONLAY will not just fill in cavities in those spaces, but they can work for a larger area, including the cusps.

They work similarly to crowns, but they do not cover the entire surface of the tooth.

POST AND CORE CROWNS:

A post and core crown is a type of dental restoration required where there is an inadequate amount of sound tooth tissue remaining to retain a conventional crown. A post is cemented into a prepared root canal, which retains a core restoration, which retains the final crown.

Why are post and cores needed ?

If very little tooth structure occupies this space, the crown will be easily dislodged, especially by forces directed at its side.
